Old Saybrook – Old Lyme Train Bridge

This beautiful bridge is know as a truss bridge with a bascule span and crosses the Connecticut River connecting Old Saybrook with Old Lyme. The photo was taken from the end of a long pier that runs deep into the marshes on the south side of the tracks. The entrance to the pier is located at the DEP facility in Old Lyme where there is pleanty of parking. It's only a few minutes off I-95 and well worth the stop.
